Goals and Requirements

The Background and Transient Observer (BTO) is a Student Collaboration experiment that will fly on the COSI satellite. It consists of two NaI(Tl) scintillator detectors. The BTO overview of science goals and requirements are shown below.

BTO Design Review

The BTO team held a review of the BTO instrument design on January 22, 2025. The items that were covered and the presenters are listed here:
